Aleksei archer, an American actor and model who was born in New York City is known for her dramatic appearances and her versatility. She was born in St. Louis but soon moved from there to New York City just a couple of days old. In 1991, she earned an associate's degree in art at Barnard College. The same year, she was made an intern in An American Place restaurant for a year. Still Guarnaschelli's culinary experience started in the early years of watching her mom cook a range of dishes at home while editing cookbooks. She worked under Larry Forgione and then at many restaurants in New York France and Los Angeles like Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Then she became the executive chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli competed in 2007 Farmers Market Battle on Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she was up against Cat Cora. She has since appeared as an Iron Chef America judge as well as in the 2011 season of The Next Iron Chef season four where she was the third runner-up. The contest ended in defeat on the episode Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. The position was made sous chef for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the fourth season on The Next Iron Chef. She became host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she teaches a small group of students in how to make classic recipes.
