Alicia Silverstone is an American actor from the United States. Her film debut was in the thriller The Crush (1993), receiving the 1994 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. She gained further prominence at age 16 as a popular teen idol when she was featured in Aerosmith's music video "Cryin'". In 1995, she starred as Cher Horowitz on Clueless, a teen comedy which earned her a multimillion dollar contract with Columbia Pictures. In 1997, she appeared in the big-budget superhero film Batman & Robin, playing Batgirl.Silverstone received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy for her role in the short-lived NBC series Miss Match (2003). Silverstone continues to act in film and on television. She is vegan and was born in San Francisco. She is the daughter of Deirdre Silverstone (nee Radford) who was a former Pan Am flight attendant who hails from Scotland, and Monty Silverstone, an English agent. Her family was in Hillsborough, California. Her father was born to a Jewish family. Her mother was converted to Conservative Judaism after she married. Silverstone was blessed with a Bat Mitzvah. She began modeling at the age of 6 and later appeared in commercials for Domino's Pizza. Sharon Elizabeth Lawrence was born June 29th in 1961. She was on the ABC drama, NYPD Blue, from 1993 until 1999. She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards: Screen Actors Guild Award, Outstanding Supporting Actress, Drama Series and Satellite Award for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. For her roles on television following NYPD Blue, Lawrence was nominated for three Emmy Awards. Lawrence had notable recurring performances in Desperate Housewives, Drop Dead Diva, Rizzoli & Isles, The Ranch, Shameless and Queen Sugar. Film credits include Gossip (2000), Middle of Nowhere (2012) and Solace (2015). In 2021, she started acting in the Paramount+ neo-Western series, Jo Pickett.Lawrence was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She moved from Charlotte to Raleigh in her junior year of high school. She then graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School. She was a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1983.
