Shannon Spake (born July 23 in 1976) is a NFL reporter and NASCAR host for Fox Sports. She was previously an ESPN reporter and a host on Fox Sports. Spake also worked for the recently created SEC Network which is owned by ESPN.Before moving to ESPN, Spake worked at Speed channel, where she hosted NASCAR Nation in its second version (June through November 2005) as well as the first reporter (February through June 2005). She also hosted Back Seat Drivers, a talk show along with online columnist Marty Smith. Her previous broadcasting jobs include those at WCCB in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television.From 2007 until 2014. Spake was a NASCAR pit reporter for the network. Also, she contributed to NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now. For the 2008 season, Spake was the pit reporter full-time for Nationwide and Sprint Cup races aired on ESPN. This role would be continued until ESPN was forced to give the rights to broadcast NBC Sports in the 2015 season. Spake signed the multi-year extension contract on August 13 2013, 2013.
