Maria LaRosa is an American meteorologist from the United States. Since July she has been a meteorologist on WNBC-TV New York and is a substitute weather presenter on NBC's Today. She previously worked for The Weather Channel in Atlanta. From 2014 until 2015, she co-hosted America’s Morning Headquarters along with Sam Champion, Mike Bettes, as well as from September 23 from 2018 to September 23rd, 2018. She was host of Weekend Recharge with Paul Goodloe until September 23, 2018.LaRosa was born in New York state, but was raised in Ramsey, New Jersey. In June 2004 she was hired by KYW-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was later hired by WXIX-TV, the Fox Broadcasting Company station in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the weekday morning and noon meteorologist at KYW-TV located in Philadelphia. She worked as a meteorologist as well as a presenter for WTVM-TV, the ABC station located in Columbus, Georgia. She joined The Weather Channel in 2010 and worked as a meteorologist on camera with Weekend Now and PM Edition. Her co-host Todd Santos was her co-host. In March 2012, she left to do the 5:30-6:00am edition of First Outlook and Your Weather Today from 9:00 to 10:00am (EST).She hosted The Morning Show with Al Roker and Stephanie Abrams from 5:30 to 7am (2012 Up With Al from 5:30 until 7am with Stephanie Abrams, Al Roker and Mike Bettes (2012-2014), Morning Rush between 7 and 10am with Abrams and Bettes (2010-2014) as well as America's Morning Headquarters (2014-2015). September 23rd of 2018, was her last day on The Weather Channel.
